The Pirate Ship was a space carrier used by pirates involved in the illegal galactic whale poaching business in the late 2040s. Commanded by pirate leader Kaliba, the Pirate Ship was armed with multiple reaction warheads and carried many VA-3C Invader Custom variable fighters that were customized for whale poaching. In early 2047, the Pirate Ship and a fleet of smaller poaching ships were active around the planet Zola until the arrival of Basara Nekki, the lead singer of Fire Bomber. Kaliba attempted to kill the intelligent white whale by blasting it with a reaction missile and then slamming the Pirate Ship into it, but the ship was knocked off course by whale hunter Graham Hoyly.
