Psybuster (aka Elemental Lord Cybuster) is a TV series that aired in Japan in 1999. Directed by Hidehito Ueda, it was written by Denma Matsu and featured mechanical designs by Yasuhiro Moriki and Koji Ito, character designs by Takeshi Itou and a soundtrack by Kenichi Sudo and Kazuo Nouta. The TV series uses some concepts, characters and mecha featured in various Super Robot Wars games. Set in a ruined Japan in 2040, the story focuses on Ken Ando, a young man who joins the DC organization and encounters the mysterious mecha Psybuster. The series was originally released on home video in North America by Geneon Entertainment as Cybuster, but has since been re-released by Discotek Media under the title Psybuster.
