The PVN.4/3 Wappa was a hovercraft used by Principality of Zeon ground units during the One Year War in UC 0079. As a unit intended mainly for reconnaissance, the Wappa was ill-suited for combat due to its light weaponry and complete lack of protection for the pilot. However, one group of Zeon soldiers put their Wappas to novel use by utilizing their small size to plant multiple explosives all over Amuro Ray’s RX-78-2 Gundam. Because the Gundam was too big to confront the Wappas during their attack, Amuro was forced to disarm all the bombs by hand afterward – a task he barely completed before they exploded.
