The RCX-76 Guncannon First Type (Rollout Unit 1) was a prototype mobile suit developed by Anaheim Electronics as a demonstration unit for the Earth Federation Forces. In contrast to later designs, the RCX-76 was equipped with a pair of three-fingered manipulators instead of human-type hands. Its armaments included a Gatling gun mounted on its right shoulder and a cannon mounted on its left. Following the rollout of the RCX-76, Anaheim’s Von Braun factory, the company produced two test units, the RCX-76-01A and RCX-76-01B, to evaluate mobility and firepower. Data from these units was incorporated into the design of a revised unit, the RCX-76-02 Guncannon First Type.
