The Recten was a worker and training mobile suit used by the Capital Guard. It served the dual purpose of conducting maintenance and inspections of the Capital Tower space elevator, as well as being used to train new recruits. The Recten featured a square camera eye and mounted two moveable booster pods on its back. The Recten could equip a big arm and power weld unit for its maintenance work on the Capital Tower. In the event of an emergency, the power weld could also function as a beam rifle. Some Recten frames were modified into combat ready units designated as the Recksnow.
