The RGC-80S GM Cannon Space Assault Type was a reconfiguration of the original ground use RGC-80 GM Cannon. To improve mobility and speed, the Space Assault Type featured extra thrusters and had some of its leg armor removed. The Space Assault Type’s main armament was a shoulder-mounted 360mm rocket launcher. It was also armed with vulcan guns, a beam spray gun and a 380mm rocket bazooka. In December UC 0079, several units participated in the Battle of A Baoa Qu, the last major conflict of the One Year War.
