The RGM-111Y Proto Hardygun was a prototype mobile suit developed by Anaheim Electronics. Also known as the Heavygun Custom, it was based on the RGM-111X Heavygun II. The Proto Hardygun also incorporated data from the F70 Cannon Gundam and was able to use some of the mission packs from the F90 Gundam F90. However, due to differences between the computers of both suits, the Proto Hardygun’s computer needed to be reprogrammed each time a new pack was equipped. The Proto Hardygun’s armaments included vulcan guns, a beam saber and two grenade racks. In UC 0116, 10 Proto Hardygun units were deployed to the Luna II Training Corp’s Fourth Aggressor Unit. Some of these units were equipped with Gundam F90 mission packs and participated in a 10-on-10 mock battle with regular EFF forces, but they were all defeated.
