The RGM-79KC GM Intercept Custom was a mobile suit based on the RGM-79SC GM Sniper Custom. As its name suggested, the RGM-79KC was designed to intercept enemy units. The Intercept Custom’s head was equipped with a face guard visor instead of the design used on the Sniper Custom. The Intercept Custom was armed with vulcan guns, a beam saber, a beam spray gun and a rocket bazooka. To aid the suit in its interception mission, it could equip the Fellow Booster, an auxiliary unit that mounted additional thrusters and missile launchers. The Fellow Booster connected to the Intercept Custom’s shoulders and served a similar function as the atmospheric use Corvette Booster. The Fellow Booster was completed in November UC 0079 and deployed to three EFF fleets the following month. Intercept Custom units often operated alongside RGM-79HC GM Guard Custom units.
