This RGM-79Q GM Quel was stationed aboard the Aswan as a reserve machine so that its parts could be exchanged with those of the RX-121 Gundam TR-1 [Hazel]. Although its head was replaced with the Gundam-type used by the Hazel, the rest of its body remained identical to that of the standard GM Quel. This machine wasn’t originally intended for combat use, but as successive battles took their toll on the Murphy team’s mobile suit roster, Eliard Hunter began using it in battle as well as for testing of the tri-booster unit. The machine was later re-registered as the RX-121-2 Gundam TR-1 [Hazel II].
