The RX-104 Odysseus Gundam was a prototype mobile suit developed by Anaheim Electronics for the Earth Federation Forces in UC 0105. The Odysseus Gundam was said to be equipped with either a psycommu or quasi-psycommu system. Extendable shoulders and support legs allowed the Odysseus Gundam to dock with the FF (Fixed Flight) Unit to form the RX-104FF Penelope. In its undocked mode, the Odysseus Gundam was armed with a beam rifle and a pair of forearm-mounted composite weapon units that featured mega particle cannons, beam sabers and missiles. In late April UC 0105, the Odysseus Gundam/Penelope was assigned to test pilot Lane Aim of the Circe Unit under the command of Kenneth Sleg, who was tasked with pursuing the anti-Federation military group Mafty.
