The Three-Star was a large factory ship in the Macross 7 long-distance emigration fleet. The ship consisted of multiple facilities that were all powered by the same OverTechnology reactor, which was powerful enough to produce a 15-kilometer long heat dissipation trail in its wake. The massive factory ship could accommodate 150,000 crew and passengers and had the ability to manufacture full-scale ships. As a civilian ship, the Three-Star was unarmed and relied on a docked Northampton class stealth frigate for its defenses. Following the end of the Protodeviln War in 2046, the Three-Star participated in the construction of a new Battle 7 to replace the original, which was destroyed in the final battle of the war.
