Based on the original TMF/A-802 BuCUE, the TMF/A-802W2 Kerberos BuCUE Hound was an upgraded version designed for close combat. While the original BuCUE’s back could be equipped with either railguns or a missile launcher, the Kerberos BuCUE Hound featured new armaments conforming with the Wizard pack system used by New Millennium mobile suits. As a result, the Kerberos Wizard could be attached to ZAFT’s standard bipedal mobile suits. With three heads, the BuCUE Hound resembled the three-headed dog Kerberos from Greek mythology. Its new armaments included a pair of beam cannons, as well as double-edged beam sabers, beam horns and beam fangs. In late C.E. 73, a custom color BuCUE Hound piloted by Isaac Mau was assigned to advise the crew of the Martian ship Acidalium. Also in late C.E. 73, a group of BuCUE Hounds participated in an attack on the land carrier Bonaparte and destroyed the Phantom Pain mobile suit GAT-X1022 Blu Duel Gundam.
