Keith and Belleen drive through the country side and encounter Lily’s car broken down on the side of the road. She has a sick passenger, who turns out to be Guin. As the Luziana Militia base, Sochie brings the Turn A in for repairs. Miashei asks where Loran went, and Sochie explains he went back to Will’s house with Kihel. At the valley, Loran helps Sid and the large team of men in excavating the spaceship. Loran asks Sid where Joseph is, and Sid says he doesn’t want anyone from Luziana finding out about the spaceship. At the Moonrace camp, Teteth stays behind while Harry takes Will to see Kihel on the Soleil. Will says he wants to see the Moonrace’s magic on the Moon, and Harry says it is just advanced technology. Will tells Kihel about his suit and the space shuttle, and she says she will think about sending him to the Moon. He asks if she is the Dianna Soriel of his ancestor’s legend, but she doesn’t know what he’s talking about. He says Kihel seems to know, and Kihel answers that there’s lots of legends like that. She tells Harry to have Phil give Will a job as a mobile suit pilot. He wonders if that’s a good idea, and she says she wants to find out where the Turn A is. Keith and Belleen help fix Lily’s car, and Keith blames Guin for failing to succeed in his negotiation. He thinks Guin is a spoiled man, and Guin says he wants to fight. Phil assigns Will to Pou’s squad and tells her to take out a Wad so she can wipe away the shame from her previous battles with the Turn A. Guin is taken to a house to rest and hears that the Inglessa and Luziana Militias have teamed up. Keith decides to bake bread for Michael and give it to soldiers. Loran looks for Dianna and finds her crying while looking at the old picture of Dianna and Will. She breaks the picture and runs away. At the Militia camp, Lily watches Sochie as she fumbles with the damaged Turn A and tries to pick up the shield. Sochie breaks the trailer holding the shield before being able to pick it up.
Keith goes to the Militia camp to meet with Michael and Yanny. He tells them that Guin is in the area, and Michael sees that Guin wants to rebuild his power. Lily butts in, and Yanny yells at her and tells her to mind her own business. A soldier reports that the Cannon Illefuto has been spotted in the area. Gavane shows up and says he wants Lily to see how well the Borjarnons fight since she hasn’t had a chance yet. Loran and Dianna get into a truck and drive away from Will’s house. In the distance, Dianna sees several Borjarnons running by. Out in an empty field, several Kapools drag cannons with them and set them up to begin shelling the Cannon Illefuto and the Wads. Pou asks Will if he led her into a trap, and he insists he is loyal to Dianna Counter. Will rushes in and starts firing his laser cannons at the Kapools, destroying them. Gavane’s Suicide Squad arrives and joins the battle. Dianna tells Loran to drive up closer so she can talk to Will and stop the battle, but he thinks that is very dangerous. Will uses his laser cannon to blow one Borjarnon, but he runs out of ammunition. Gavane gets in close and blows off the Cannon Illefuto’s left arm, but Will knocks him away. As Loran approaches the battlefield, he sees Sochie run by in the Turn A. He asks her not to join the battle, but she doesn’t hear him. Defenseless, Will can do nothing as a Borjarnon fires a bazooka at him at point blank range. Pou decides to retreat, and Sochie takes missiles out of the Turn A’s multipurpose chest silo and throws them at Pou. Pou uses her machine gun to destroy the missiles and escape. Loran moves the Turn A up next to the ruined Cannon Illefuto. Sochie sees Will’s arms coming out of the cockpit and tells Loran they should help him get out. Loran looks closely and thinks that it might just be Will’s arms. Dianna asks them what happened, but they don’t say anything.
Will decided to follow Teteth’s advice with deadly results. The ending of this episode had to be one of the creepiest I’ve seen in all of Gundam. It’s about as creepy as the Zeta Gundam episode where Kamille’s mother gets blown away and he says her remains are in the Mk II’s hand. That’s classic Tomino creepiness. Pou gets defeated again, this time by old Borjarnons. In every other Gundam show the enemy’s monoeyed suit is usually cannon fodder, but here the Borjarnons seem pretty powerful, given that they’re in the hands of the good guys now. Will’s appearance sparked a lot of uncomfortable memories in Dianna, and I’m sure his death won’t help any. Too bad the poor fool had to trust the wrong person.
