The Type 99 Road Runner was a unique labor utilized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. The Road Runner was a traffic control labor that could get past any traffic jam thanks to its wheeled, extendable legs. In its normal mode, the Road Runner resembled a car. When the legs were extended, the labor could drive over stopped cars and trucks in a traffic jam to get to the scene. In 2002, a Road Runner responded to a call about a car bomb on the Yokohama Bay Bridge just before a terrorist attack damaged the bridge.
