The V08Re-0526 Helmwige Reincar was a heavily modified version of McGillis Fareed’s V08-1228 Grimgerde. The Grimgerde was modified into a heavy equipment escort suit, and its name reflected that it was a “reincarnation” of the Helmwige, a Valkyrja Frame mobile suit from the Calamity War. Records from a Gjallarhorn database were used to reconstruct the appearance of the Helmwige. The Helmwige Reincar’s main armament was a Valkyrja buster sword, a heavy weapon designed for use against mobile armors. The sword’s handle could detach and function as a short club. The Helmwige Reincar’s horns could also be used for electric shock attacks. Piloted by McGillis’ loyal subordinate, Isurugi Camice, the Helmwige Reincar was destroyed when Isurugi sacrificed himself to save McGillis during a battle against the ASW-G-66 Gundam Kimaris Vidar.
