Although the VF-27 Lucifer was designed to function without the need for a Super Pack, the Macross Galaxy Variable Fighter Development Arsenal (aka Guld Works) developed a custom Super Pack for it. The VF-27’s Super Pack parts were designed to be disposable and could be ejected with explosive bolts. This custom pack mounted additional propellant tanks and micro-missile launchers, as well as the QF-5100D Goblin II drone fighter, which was armed with its set of six micro-missile launchers. The Goblin II could conduct surveillance flights and be remote controlled by the VF-27’s brainwave control system.
