Armored Trooper VOTOMS: Pailsen Files is an OVA series released in Japan from 2007-2008. It is an interquel set between the Armored Trooper VOTOMS: Origin of Ambition OVA and the Armored Trooper VOTOMS TV series. Ryosuke Takashi returns as director, leading a veteran creative team that includes writers Fuyunori Gobu and Soji Yoshikawa, mechanical designer Kunio Okawara, character designer Norio Shioyama and composers Hiroki Inui and Yasuaki Maejima. The story focuses on Chirico Cuvie, who after the official disbanding of the Red Shoulder Battalion is placed in a new experimental unit that is frequently sent on impossibly dangerous missions. A compilation movie was released in Japan several months after the OVA’s conclusion. The series was released on home video in North America by Sentai Filmworks’ Maiden Japan label.
