Years after the VF-1A Valkyrie was retired from military service with UN Spacy, it found new life as a modified civilian aircraft, the VT-1C Commercial Valkyrie. The modified VT-1C incorporated a new nose and head design, along with a two-seater cockpit for a pilot and It was also equipped with a new pair of FAST Packs that allowed it to launch into orbit from a planet’s surface. All armaments were removed, although many units used by galactic whale poachers near planet Zola were equipped with a large harpoon launcher and attached gun pod. One such unit with a custom color scheme was piloted by Graham Hoyly, a Zolan obsessed with avenging his dead wife by killing galactic whales. In 2047, Fire Bomber lead singer Basara Nekki visited Zola and used Graham’s VT-1C to witness whale migration in space. The encounter resulted in the VT-1C’s destruction, but Basara was rescued by Graham’s daughter Liza, an officer in the Zola Patrol.
