The xvg-xxx Vagan Gear represented a relic from another era. Using technology from the era of the Colony Nation Wars, the Vagan Gear was the oldest mobile suit created by the Vagans and influenced later designs. The Vagan Gear’s towering height made it bigger than all other Vagan mobile suits. In contrast to later Vagan units, the Vagan Gear’s cockpit was mounted in the chest. Its armaments included a pair of wrist-mounted heat blades and tail-mounted delta gazer. The Vagan Gear was fielded near the end of the war in AG 164 and was piloted by Zera Gins, a genetically engineered X-Rounder intended to serve as the successor to Fezarl Ezelcant. In the midst of battle, the unmanned mobile armor Sid forcefully merged with Vagan Gear to form the hybrid Vagan Gear Sid.
