The YG-111 Gundam G-Self was capable of mounting multiple equipment packs for specific mission profiles, and one such configuration was the Atmospheric Backpack manufactured by Towasanga. The Atmospheric Backpack incorporated four moveable wings and was equipped with a laser pod that also functioned as a radar system. The laser pod could function as a close-in weapons system and perform omnidirectional attacks, but it was rarely used because it targeted indiscriminately. Other armaments included the Gundam G-Self’s standard vulcan guns, beam sabers, a beam rifle and shield.
