In the Second Battle of Tokyo, Suzaku Kururugi’s Z-01/D Lancelot Conquista was badly damaged by Kallen Kouzuki’s Type-02/F1Z Guren SEITEN. Though the base Lancelot was fine, most of the Conquista parts were beyond repair, and after joining forces with his friend-turned-enemy-turned-ally Lelouch Lamperouge, Suzaku moved on to his new unit, the Z-01Z Lancelot Albion. However, he had the Camelot Engineering Corps reconstruct the original Z-01/A Lancelot Air Cavalry for his and Lelouch’s co-conspirator, the immortal “Witch” C.C. to use. Because it used maintenance parts, the rechristened Lancelot Frontier’s performance was inferior to the original Lancelot, but it was still an exceptional unit. The biggest changes were the distinctive pink paint scheme and the addition of the RZA-10JS Percival‘s missile shield to provide ranged offense. During the final battle between Lelouch and his brother Schneizel, C.C. used the Frontier in an attempt to waylay Kallen and her Guren SEITEN. However, Kallen’s superior skills and Knightmare allowed her to destroy the Frontier, though she permitted C.C. to escape rather than attempting to kill her.
