The Zanzibar II was a variant of the Zanzibar class mobile cruiser fielded by the Principality of Zeon during the One Year War in UC 0079. Like the original Zanzibar design, the Zanzibar II was capable of operating on Earth through the thrust power of its rocket engines. Compared to the original, the Zanzibar II featured an external side mobile suit launching catapult, plus a rear hatch located between the engines. The Zanzibar II also mounted more machine guns than the original. In UC 0083, the Lili Marleen served as the flagship of the Zeon remnant Cima Fleet, which joined the Delaz Fleet for Operation Stardust. However, Cima Garahau betrayed Delaz, and her ship was subsequently destroyed by Kou Uraki’s RX-78GP03 Gundam GP03 Dendrobium near the end of the conflict.
