Technical and Historical Notes

When ZAFT introduced the ZGMF-1000 ZAKU Warrior as part of its New Millennium series mobile suits, it created various Wizard packs to adapt the suit to various environments and combat situations. Once such pack was the EX-R4 Command Wizard used by the ZGMF-1000/R4 Command ZAKU CCI. This ZAKU variant was a non-combat unit, as indicated by the absence of “F” (Fighter) in its model number. It was equipped with an electronic equipment pack, a parabolic antenna on its shoulder and a non-combat beam antenna gun. The base ZAKU unit featured an upgraded drive system and avionics. As a non-combat unit, the Command ZAKU CCI operated with an escort of two regular mobile suits.
