Technical and Historical Notes

As its name implied, the ZGMF-1017 GINN Ceremonial Decoration Type was specially designated for formal military ceremonies. Unlike the standard model ZGMF-1017 GINN, the Ceremonial Type came in a gray and gold color scheme, complete with ornate decorations reminiscent of the uniforms worn by the past military forces of old Earth. The Ceremonial Type was usually not used in combat, but it came equipped with a machine gun for soldiers and an elegant saber for commanders. In October C.E. 73, the Ceremonial Type was still in service at facilities such as ZAFT’s military PLANT Armory One.
