Owing to its large production run, ZAFT’s ZGMF-1017 GINN fell into the hands of many parties, including the eccentric swordsman Un’no. Aside from a custom color scheme, Un’no’s unit differed only in armaments. Eschewing long-range weapons of any kind, Un’no preferred to use two swords: the “Gerbera Straight” katana and “Tiger Pierce” wakizashi. The “Gerbera Straight” was capable of deflecting shots from a beam rifle. Living with other artisans in the satellite known as the Graveyard, Un’no received a visit from Junk Guild mechanic Lowe Guele, pilot of the MBF-P02 Gundam Astray Red Frame. Lowe wanted a “Gerbera Straight” and practiced swordplay with Un’no until he received a sword of his own.
