The ZGMF-X56S/gmb Impulse GM (Mahiru Specification) was a custom Gunpla built by Mahiru Shigure of team Song Dynasty Vase. It was based on the ZGMF-X56S Impulse Gundam from the 2004-05 anime TV series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY. Compared to its anime inspiration, the Impulse GM omitted the modular design and Core Splendor unit. The Impulse GM’s backpack featured parts that could combine with parts from its sister unit, the ZGMF-X56S/gma Impulse GM wktk Custom. Together, the parts from both Impulse GMs formed a unit called “The Northern Pod” that could be used for ramming attacks. The Impulse GM’s armaments included vulcan guns, knives, a beam rifle and a shield. During the 14th Gunpla Battle Japanese U-19 Championship, Song Dynasty Vase was defeated in battle by team Try Fighters.
