The ZGMF-X56S/γ Blast Impulse Gundam was ZAFT’s heavily-armed version of the Earth Alliance’s GAT-X105+AQM/E-X03 Launcher Strike Gundam. The Blast Silhouette pack was stored on the Minerva‘s dedicated hangar for the Impulse Gundam and was deployed via a computer-controlled Silhouette Flyer craft. The Flyer delivered the pack to the Impulse Gundam and automatically returned to the Minerva. When equipped with the Blast pack, the Impulse Gundam’s VPS armor shifted to a black and green color scheme. The Blast Silhouette pack’s armaments included two “Kerberos” long-range beam cannons, as well as two “Deluge” rail cannons. Other armaments included a 4-tube missile launcher and two beam javelins.
