The Abigorbine’s name and color scheme were a reference to the 1983-84 anime Aura Battler Dunbine. The Abigorbine’s armaments included a pair of beam guns, beam scythes and missile launchers, plus a beam cannon and three beam cutters. During the 7th Gunpla Battle World Championship, Luang was defeated by the Renato brothers of Argentina and their RGM-79K9 GM Sniper K9.
