An experimental commander’s use mobile armor, the ZMT-A30S Birknau prototype was assigned to Arbeo Pippiniden of BESPA’s Motorad Fleet. With exceptional sensor and communications equipment, combined with a high mobility that allowed its pilot to move around all areas of battle, the Birknau was well-suited as a field commander’s unit. Its armament was rather simple: a pair of mega particle guns and a pair of mega machine cannons for ranged combat, and four claw arms for close combat. However, Pippiniden and his mobile armor never got to see any action during the Zanscare War – he and the Birknau both fell to friendly fire (of a sort) as he was attempting to launch from his flagship.
