Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner (aka Anubis: Zone of the Enders in Japan) is a 3D action game released worldwide for the Sony PlayStation 2 in 2003 by Konami. Produced by Hideo Kojima, it is the sequel to the 2001 game Zone of the Enders. Directed and written by Shuyo Murata, it features mechanical designs by Yoji Shinkawa and character designs by Nobuyoshi Nishimura. Set in 2173, the story focuses on Dingo Egret, a former BAHRAM pilot who becomes the new pilot of the orbital frame Jehuty and is drawn into conflict with BAHRAM. The game was re-released in 2012 as part of the Zone of the Enders HD Collection. A VR-remastered version titled Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner M∀RS was released in 2018 for PC and PlayStation 4.
