The MSM-07S Z'Gok Commander Type is a moderate improvement over the standard MSM-07 Z'Gok, sporting a more powerful reactor and a more economical use of armor and construction materials, resulting in a lighter gross weight and increased performance. Produced late in the One Year War, the S-type is usually reserved for ace pilots and unit commanders. Zeon ace pilot Char Aznable uses one of these S-type Z'Goks during Zeon's assault on the Earth Federation Forces' Jaburo military headquarters on November 30, UC 0079. Because the attack is hastily organized, Char is unable to make use of several mobile suits designed at the captured California Base for an attack on Jaburo.
