Mobile Fighter G Gundam
Mobile Fighter G Gundam is the fifth Gundam TV series and originally aired in Japan from 1994-1995. It is the first series that was neither directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino nor set in the Universal Century. Directed by Yasuhiro Imagawa, the series features mechanical designs by Kunio Okawara and Hajime Katoki, character designs by Hiroshi Osaka and a score by Kouhei Tanaka. As the first alternate universe series, G Gundam is set in FC (Future Century) 60 and stars Domon Kasshu, a martial artist representing Neo Japan during the 13th Gundam Fight tournament that will determine which nation wields all power for the next four years. However, Domon is also on a personal mission that will have far-reaching consequences. After G Gundam's conclusion, it was followed by the next alternate universe series, New Mobile Report Gundam Wing. The series aired in North America on Cartoon Network's Toonami block in 2002, although the names of some mobile fighters were changed. The series is available on home video from Right Stuf.
