Technical and Historical Notes

Neo China's entry in the 13th Gundam Fight is a continuation of thousands of years of martial arts traditions. The GF13-011NC Dragon Gundam is designed to be used by a skilled martial artist, in this case Sai Saici, a student of the ancient Shaolin fighting style. Sai Saici comes from a long line of fighters, and his grandfather Sai Feilong represented Neo China during the 4th Gundam Fight in FC 20. The Dragon Gundam is equipped with a variety of weapons that make it a formidable match for any opponent. Its arms, called Dragon claws, are extendable and able to grab an opponent from a long distance and shoot fire. The Dragon Gundam is also equipped with a long braid called a benpatto, which can be used as a close combat stinging weapon. The Dragon Gundam also carries a dozen feilong flags, which are used for the finishing move Houka Kyouten Juuzetsujin. This move involves planting the feilong flags around an opponent to trap them, allowing Sai to move in and finish them off. This nearly unbeatable move is countered by Domon Kasshu, but the match between him and Sai ended in a draw. Throughout the 13th Gundam Fight Sai hangs around Domon as a friend and member of the Shuffle Alliance. He also trains in the Guiana Highlands and develops his own Hyper Mode and a new finishing move, the Shin Ryuusei Kochouken. This ultimate Shaolin attack creates a pair of butterfly wings and makes the Dragon Gundam much more powerful, but it also requires the sacrifice of the pilot's life. In a battle with Domon's GF13-017NJII God Gundam, Sai performs the move but manages to survive. Despite a draw and a loss to Domon, the Dragon Gundam qualifies for the Finals and the Battle Royale and participates in the final battle against the JDG-00X (JDG-009X) Devil Gundam.
