Patlabor

Mobile Police Patlabor is a multimedia franchise created by HEADGEAR, a Japanese artist group that includes director Mamoru Oshii, manga artist Masami Yuki, writer Kazunori Ito, mechanical designer Yutaka Izubuchi and character designer Akemi Takada. The franchise began with an OVA series in 1988, followed by a manga adaptation, a TV/OVA series, and three feature films. In the last decade, the franchise made the jump to live action with a TV series and sequel movie.
