FLCL (pronounced Fooly Cooly) is an anime franchise originally created by Gainax. The initial OVA series received mainstream exposure from its North American broadcast on Adult Swim, which led to the creation by Production IG of the follow up series FLCL Progressive and FLCL Alternative in 2016. In 2022, Adult Swim announced the 2023 premiere of two additional series, FLCL Grunge and FLCL Shoegaze.
