Mobile Suit Gundam Twilight AXIS is a novel released exclusively in Japan from 2016-2017. Written by Kojiro Nakamura and illustrated by Ark Performance, it was released free online. This side story is set in UC 0096, following the events of the 2010 OVA series Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn. The story focuses on Arlette Almage, a former Zeon engineer who is part of an effort to recover psychoframe technology from the former Neo Zeon asteroid base Axis. The story was adapted in 2017 as both a short ONA series and a manga series.
