Mobile Suit Gundam Twilight AXIS is an ONA series released in Japan in 2017 and in North America in 2023. It is a sequel to the OVA series Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn and is adapted from a light novel of the same name by Kojiro Nakamura and Ark Performance. The series was directed by Se Jun Kim, who also served as a writer and mechanical/character designer. The score was composed by Takashi Ohmama. Set in UC 0096, the Laplace Incident has prompted the Earth Federation Forces to secure all psychoframe material. Former Neo Zeon mechanic Arlette Almage is part of a team sent to the asteroid Axis to recover psychoframe material from the remains of Char Aznable’s Sazabi. However, a mysterious Gundam attacks the team on arrival, leading to a desperate battle for survival. The series’ six mini-episodes were compiled into a short movie titled Remain of the Red, which was released in North America by Nozomi Entertainment.
