Turn A Gundam header

∀ Gundam (read as Turn A Gundam) is a TV series that aired in Japan from 1999-2000. It was conceived as part of the 20th anniversary “Big Bang Project” that also included the G-Saviour TV movie. ∀ Gundam marked the return of Yoshiyuki Tomino as director following a five year hiatus. The series featured mechanical designs from a diverse team including American industrial designer Syd Mead and franchise veterans like Kunio Okawara. Capcom’s Akira Yasuda provided character designs, and the score was composed by Yoko Kanno. Set in CC (Correct Century) 2345, the series stars Loran Cehack, a young Moonrace citizen sent to observe life on Earth, which has regressed technologically to the level of the early 20th century. Loran is forced to pick sides when the Moonrace invades Earth to colonize it. Two years after the series’ conclusion, Tomino created a pair of compilation movies. The TV series and movies are available on home video in North America from Right Stuf’s Nozomi Entertainment.
