Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn is a novel series released exclusively in Japan from 2006-2009. It is a sequel to the 1988 film Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack. Written by Harutoshi Fukui, it was serialized in Gundam Ace magazine. Set in UC 0096, the story focuses on Banagher Links, a civilian who gets caught up in a conflict between the Earth Federation Forces and Neo Zeon over the possession of Laplace’s Box and its secrets. The novels were adapted into an OVA series of the same name in 2010 and have inspired multiple manga spinoffs. The epilogue 11th volume released in 2015 was later adapted into the 2018 film Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative.
