The ADR-04-Mk.X Destroid Defender was a series four anti-air defense robot manufactured by Viggers and Chrauler for use by U.N. Spacy. The Defender’s systems utilized OverTechnology derived from the Macross. The Defender featured a high definition targeting system that allowed precise long-range shooting in space. Its sole armament was its pair of arm mounted two-barrel Erlikon automatic cannons, which could mount a large variety of bullet types. The Defender’s mobility was quite slow compared to that of a variable fighter, and it lacked the roller system used by the earlier ADR-03-Mk.III Destroid Cheyenne. As such, it functioned more as a mobile turret. By 2009, Defenders were deployed at U.N. Spacy bases throughout Earth, as well as on the Macross, where they served as anti-air intercept emplacements.Â
