Summary

C.C. and Kallen dress as exotic dancers and perform in front of several officials at a garrison inside the Chinese Federation’s Guoyang province. The officials comment on how beautiful they are and can’t decide if they like C.C. or Kallen more. Chief Hanshiwan compliments them on their beauty, and C.C. pumps him up by saying it was an honor to spend time with him and his men. Kallen adds that they’ve travelled far to see the wedding between Empress Tianzi and a Britannian prince. Hanshiwan suggests that they quit traveling and stay there with him, and C.C. asks if their elder sister could come with them. Kallen is caught off guard but starts playing along. C.C. and Kallen boast that their elder sister is a much better dancer than they are, is beautiful and has an amazing voice. Hanshiwan is interested in the elder sister, so C.C. mentions that she came along. Musicians play entry music for the “elder sister,” who is actually Lelouch in drag. Lelouch does nothing and reveals that he’s a man, but Hanshiwan isn’t bothered by the gender difference. Lelouch explains that he’s from Japan and that he needs two things to defeat Britannia: combat power and the roots of Geass. Lelouch notes that Hanshiwan is corrupt and steals the tax money he collects from his citizens. He then uses Geass and tells the men that they’re all pigs and should never speak again. The men start squealing like pigs, and Kallen notes that the flow of money will now be cut off. C.C. is happy about how her plan worked out, but Lelouch vows that he’ll never dress like a woman again. Kallen notes that she dressed up like a bunny girl to rescue Lelouch, and C.C. mentions that she ate lots of pizza, which Lelouch says she would’ve done anyway. C.C. says she wanted to see it once like the gender reversal festivals at school. Lelouch gets a call that Li Xingke’s forces are on the move, so he concludes that they won’t cooperate with his coup plans. Lelouch orders Kallen to launch in the Guren while C.C. returns to the Ikaruga. Lelouch tells C.C. that once they win and get back Ashford, she can be a student if she wants. C.C. decides to be president of the pizza club and makes Lelouch the vice president. Lelouch notes that there’s no such club, and C.C. explains it’ll be a club where she eats pizza. Lelouch doesn’t think anyone would be interested in a club like that.

Commentary

While most of the picture dramas consist of school hijinks or character moments, this one actually has some relevance to the plot. Taking place just before Lelouch’s wedding kidnapping, this short features C.C. and Kallen performing fanservice duty to infiltrate a Chinese garrison. I do have to wonder how Kallen can dance in such a skimpy outfit without having her boobs fall out, but then again this is anime, so the laws of physics don’t apply to breasts. As soon as C.C. mentioned her “elder sister,” you knew it had to be Lelouch in drag. Naturally, he’s not happy about this, but he should be used to it since Milly has forced him to dress up in weird outfits before. It was interesting that he used Geass to order a bunch of corrupt fat cats to act like pigs for the rest of their lives, which obviously they’ll do. The rest of the short consists of C.C. expressing more love for pizza, to the point of wanting to make a pizza club.
