Liger explains that ZX-06 is drawing the asteroids from the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Mamoru says that even a single one dropping on Earth would be a disaster and asks if they can stop them. Kazou reports that the StealthGao is undergoing refits for space combat. The six available Mic Force units, including Mic, launch along with Izanagi. ChoRyuJin and GekiRyuJin are fitted with SP packs for space combat as well. The Mic Force transforms to Boom robot mode and start firing the Solitary Wave Riser. The initial wave of asteroids is destroyed, but the rest start dodging and crashing into the Mic Force. Mamoru realizes that the Primeval is controlling them and sense that it’s hiding somewhere. ChoRyuJin and GekiRyuJin launch from Izanagi followed by the energy supply ship Climber-1. Volfogg approaches in Susanoo and has the Reflector Beam prepare to fire. GekiRyuJin uses Xiang Tou Long to destroy an asteroid about to hit Mic and ChoRyuJin disperses the shockwave with the Eraser Head. They tell Mic to fall back and start firing on the asteroids. Susanoo releases its F.F. Mirror and fires the Reflector Beam at it, destroying another wave of asteroids. Liger deduces that the Primevals want to weaken mankind by repeating the same disaster that caused dinosaurs to go extinct so they must stop the asteroids at all costs. Entouji reports that their satellite network managed to spot ZX-06 hiding on the other side of the planet and Guy quickly decides to launch. Mamoru remembers what Cain showed him and quietly sneaks after Guy. Amaterasu launches from the Orbit Base and heads to the Primeval’s location. Down at G-Island, Mamoru’s friends watch the asteroids from the Bay Tower’s observatory. Reiko teases Hana about Mamoru and Sunou wonders where he is. Sueo then spots the 3G robots destroying the asteroids through the telescope. Susanoo is hit by an asteroid fragment and is unable to continue attacking. A few asteroids slip by and ChoRyuJin and GekiRyuJin desperately try to intercept them.
Just before the asteroids reach the Orbit Base, they are destroyed by the J-Ark. Kaidou comments that the Earth is beautiful just like their home planet was. The J-Ark and the 3G robots continue to destroy the asteroids as Amaterasu reaches ZX-06. Star GaoGaiGar is deployed wielding the Goldion Hammer and the new Gatling Driver. ZX-06 tries to slam asteroids into Guy, which causes the stowaway Mamoru to yelp in surprise. Guy uses the Gatling Driver to distort the space in front of him and stop the asteroids long enough for him to destroy them with the Goldion Hammer. Guy charges at ZX-06 but Fist, Jaws and Hair Primeval suddenly appear and engulf him. Guy wakes up and finds himself in a hospital bed with Mikoto and Leo standing over him. He notices that he has a normal human body and asks what’s going on. Mikoto and Leo tell him that he’s been in a coma for two years since the shuttle incident and that he must have been having a very vivid dream. Guy is still confused but then he spots the young woman in a corner with a very angry expression on her face. He then starts hearing Mamoru’s voice and finally realizes that it’s all an illusion. Guy wakes up just in time to block an attack from ZX-06 and angrily charges at it. The Primeval uses its psychic powers to freeze Guy in place but Mamoru flies out of the StealthGao II and blocks it. Guy quickly restricts ZX-06 with the Gatling Driver then finishes it off with Hammer Hell and Heaven. The 3G robots destroy the last of the asteroids and notice that the ES Window is closing. J asks Kaidou if they’re going to retrieve the Primeval core and Kaidou tells him there’s no rush since 3G can’t do anything with it. The J-Ark departs and Mamoru is able to purify the Primeval core. ChoRyuJin and GekiRyuJin call in and say that there’s a huge asteroid trying to push through the ES Window. With none of the other Brave Corps members available, GekiRyuJin suggest that he rams the asteroid with Climber-1 since ChoRyuJin is indispensable, but the latter shoves him away and says that this is his job. ChoRyuJin rams into the asteroid and starts pushing it back. Guy and GekiRyuJin yell after him and Leo says that he’ll be trapped on the other side forever. Guy tells ChoRyuJin that they’ll come back for him for sure and the latter asks everyone to take care of GekiRyuJin as the ES Window closes. He’ll be waiting for them for as long as it takes in the sea of stars.
The action picks up quickly following the previous episode’s cliffhanger. If the Primevals really want to Zonderize mankind, they sure are going about it in extreme ways. I’m not sure what would be left to Zonderize after destroying the ozone layer or showering the Earth with asteroids. It’s nice to see that Kaidou isn’t completely devoid of emotion and is willing to go out of his way to protect his adoptive home world. GaoGaiGar also gets an upgrade and a new weapon for his space battle debut against Brain Primeval, who tricks Guy into thinking his life after the shuttle accident was just a dream, which would have worked had our mystery woman not meddled in. At this point in the show however the Gatling Driver doesn’t really make much of an impression. It looks like the Dividing Driver only with a different head. The real tragedy of course is the loss of ChoRyuJin, who’s now stuck drifting in space forever. This decrease in manpower will put 3G in quite a bind for the next arc.
