Eagle opens fire and Fuu blocks it. Umi attacks and Eagle knocks her back with a barrier. Hikaru fires a Flame Arrow which breaks through the FTO‘s barrier and damages it. Eagle says it was nice meeting them and then leaves. The Knights return to the castle where Ferio greets them. They’re happy to see him and note that his new outfit makes him look like a prince. Ferio thanks them for granting his sister’s wish and explains he had forgotten about being a prince until recently. Fuu starts crying because she killed his sister, but he tells her his sister was happy at the end. Ferio says others are waiting to see the Knights and he opens a door.
Caldina and Lafarga come out and greet them. Lafarga explains that all the citizens had been evacuated to the castle and Umi wonders why the castle is the only building around. Caldina says the castle was made by sorcerers lead by Clef through the power of their wills. Lafarga adds that it won’t last long. Caldina drags a grown up Ascot out from behind a pillar and the girls are surprised at his appearance. Caldina is about to say he grew up for Umi, but Ascot covers her mouth. Umi asks about Alcyone, but they don’t know where she is. Hikaru is happy to see everyone again and says that they’ll fight for Cephiro. A man walks into the room carrying an unconscious girl. Hikaru inquires about the blood on his armor and the man’s fairy companion says it’s not his. The fairy, Primera, introduces herself and identifies the man as Lantis. Lantis puts the girl down and the Knights introduce themselves. Lantis explains the blood is from a monster and the girls are surprised monsters still exist. Lantis says the monsters are manifestations of the citizen’s hearts and unavoidable given the dire situation. Hikaru notices Lantis’s hand is bleeding and asks Fuu to heal it, but Primera stops them and heals him herself. Lafarga asks why Lantis didn’t report a citizen who hadn’t evacuated, but Lantis says it wasn’t worth mentioning before leaving the room. Primera tries to give chase but Mokona blocks her way. Hikaru picks up Mokona and Primera flies off. Hikaru notes that Lantis’s voice sounds familiar and Lafarga explains that he’s Zagato’s younger brother. Lantis had left Cephiro for unknown reasons prior to the Knight’s summoning and has now returned from Autozam. Elsewhere, the shadowy figure says Cephiro will soon disappear and that the people are wishing for her existence. Hikaru wakes up and wonders what that dream was all about.
After a brief skirmish with Eagle the girls meet some more old friends. Ferio is now a prince and Fuu is understandably upset about killing his sister, but thankfully he doesn’t hold it against her. Ascot went through one hell of a growth spurt because of his crush on Umi, and Caldina and Lafarga haven’t changed. We’re also introduced to Zagato’s brother Lantis and his fairy fangirl Primera. She’s sure to annoy so much you’ll be wishing Navi was still around. It’s hard to say where Lantis stands right now, as his brother was a major antagonist and he was hanging out on Autozam. But he is dreamy, I mean, helping the citizens of Cephiro too so he can’t be that bad.
