0
Summary

Eagle tells Geo to take care of the Knights while he heads to the castle. Umi is thrown at Hikaru and Eagle goes to attack the barrier. Hikaru tries to stop him but Geo gets in her way. Umi musters enough strength to fall back and Hikaru draws her sword. She fires a blast from it which breaks through Geo’s barrier and destroys the GTO‘s leg. Debonair speaks to Alcyone and tells her she’s Debonair’s door into the castle. A portal opens and Debonair emerges along with a pack of monsters. Clef and Lantis sense the arrival. Lantis heads to the scene and Clef tells Ferio that monsters are in the castle. Eagle continues damaging the barrier which also harms Clef. Geo keeps firing on Hikaru until Fuu arrives to restrain him. She heals the other two and Hikaru goes after Eagle.

Hikaru tells Eagle to stop and asks if he really thinks the Pillar is necessary. Eagle doesn’t believe becoming the Pillar is a sacrifice and he’s willing to do anything to save Autozam. Eagle says all that’s left is for them to fight for their beliefs and they clash swords. Lantis defeats a monster and notes that it’s stronger than the ones outside. He then finds Alcyone. Lafarga and Caldina encounter a monster and he slashes it. It survives but Ferio finishes it off and the three of them head off to the residential area. Debonair makes her way to the proof of the Pillar. Geo breaks free from Fuu’s spell and prevents them from assisting Hikaru. Hikaru fires another blast from her sword but Eagle’s barrier blocks it. He notes she’s gotten stronger and charges at the castle’s barrier. He breaks through and Hikaru gives chase. Lafarga, Ferio, and Caldina protect the citizens from the monsters and Ascot eventually joins them. Eagle exits the FTO with Hikaru right behind him. She tells him to stop and they cross swords. Lantis goes to the room with the crown where he finds Debonair. She approaches the crown but Emeraude’s voice is heard from it. It emits a bright light that wards off Debonair and destroys all the monsters. Hikaru and Eagle lay unconscious on the floor.

Commentary

Things got real intense with the Knights dealing with the Autozam duo and the others fighting off the monsters (which took more than one hit to kill!). Alcyone is finally useful for something and Debonair almost got her hands on the crown. Thankfully Emeraude’s spirit managed to save the day. The music really complimented the desperation of the characters and it was quite gripping. It would have been better if the action was a little more animated, but it’s still good stuff.
