Lantis tells Clef he doesn’t think the Pillar system is correct and Clef agrees. The Pillar protects the people’s happiness but who protects hers? Hikaru and Eagle both wake up and remember Emeraude’s words. Clef asks why Lantis left and he answers it was to put an end to the Pillar system. He says Emeraude’s tragedy shouldn’t be repeated. Clef agrees and says he’ll reveal everything to the next Pillar even if it means they’ll refuse. The Bravada approaches the castle and the djinn form bridge to the entrance. Umi returns and introduces Tatra and Tarta to Fuu and Ferio. Tatra reiterates that Chizeta will no longer invade Cephiro. The Dome also appears and Aska says she’s not there to fight.
Aska and Sang Yung disembark and Aska tells Fuu she’s given up on Cephiro. She says she’s there to fulfil their promise to have tea and Fuu is happy she remembers. Hikaru and Eagle reflect back on what happened when they entered the crown room. They wonder which of them will be the next Pillar. Eagle muses that if it’s Hikaru, Lantis will have fallen in love with the Pillar just like his brother. Hikaru looks at her reflection and Nova emerges from the mirror. Nova asks what she’ll do if she’s the next Pillar. Lantis’s pendant protects Nova, who is angry others keep preventing her from playing with Hikaru. She calls on Seville and Alba and Hikaru draws her sword. Nova says she’ll make Hikaru alone so she’ll have no choice by to play with her and leaves with Alba. Nova appears before Lantis and Clef and Lantis wonders how she got past Clef’s barrier. Nova says she can pass anything Hikaru can since she is Hikaru. Clef asks if Nova is a shadow created by Hikaru’s heart and she destroys the door so Alba can get in. Nova shifts the dimensions to get Lantis alone and Alba attacks. Lantis blows off Alba’s arm but it regenerates. Clef mentally tells Lantis he can’t get into Nova’s dimension and if he forced it Nova might be hurt. Since Nova is a part of Hikaru, any damage Nova takes will hurt Hikaru’s heart as well. Hikaru fights Seville, but it regenerates any damage she gives it. Nova realizes Lantis isn’t fighting seriously so he doesn’t hurt Hikaru and uses that opening to stab him. Nova declares that Lantis is now hers and Hikaru senses him being taken away.
So aside from the crew of the NSX all the characters have gathered together. While I suppose it’s good that the Knights have gained more powerful allies, it probably wasn’t necessary to devote so much screen time to them. Debonair opts for quality over quantity this time around by sending two strong monsters along with Nova and it seems to be working out for her. Nova’s mind games are just as effective as always and she manages to get her hands on Lantis. Her true nature is also revealed but it wasn’t hard to figure it out. Okay, Hikaru, your man needs saving so get to it!
