Graien is briefed on the bases and facilities that the Inspectors have captured or destroyed and Graien supposes they were investigated beforehand. At Izu Base, Arado stuffs his face and Latooni tells him he might get out of the brig soon. Arado asks about Shine and Latooni explains that she’s still on the Hagane and will continue to fight. Latooni says they’ll fight the Inspectors next before leaving. Laker congratulates Daitetsu on taking back Riksent and tells him the DC is keeping quiet. Arado wonders what he’s doing there when Marion visits him. Graien tells Brian that the plans for Operation Plantagenet are complete. The Operation involves a pincer attack on North America by both the Federation and the DC. Brian isn’t sure the DC will agree, but Graien reminds him that DC was created to fight aliens in the first place. He adds that they have a line of communication and asks that it be left up to him. Kai enters the simulator room where the Alteisen is taking on some Wildschwein Ms. He asks Marion who’s using the simulator and notes that the Alteisen isn’t fighting like Kyosuke. Kyosuke emerges from the shadows and says he’s not the one piloting it. Arado exits the simulator and says he likes the Alteisen, but Kai asks why he’s there. Marion says she let him out to test him. Kai points out Arado isn’t a very good pilot, but Marion says that a Lion isn’t suitable for him. Kenneth yells at Mitsuko for helping the DC but she just points out that helping both sides will make her richer. Graien tells them to stop and that even if what Mitsuko did was unforgivable, they can use her. She says she’ll arrange a meeting with Van, much to Kenneth’s displeasure. Graien reminds him of his role in the next operation and says that the Earth Sphere’s military power needs to be united as one. Lamia brings a report to Kyosuke, only to find him, Excellen, Ryusei, and Masaki being offered health drinks by Kusuha. Kusuha offers one to Lamia who reluctantly accepts. The others try to warn her but Lamia thinks she has to drink it in order to avoid suspicion. She chugs it and promptly passes out. On the battleship Diaus near Neviim, Wendolo talks to Nibhal and explains that the Inspector’s teleport system is too large to mount on a mecha and that they need to secure the destination first. Nibhal tells Wendolo of an interesting group in the DC and offers to send their data. Nibhal ends the communication and thinks that Wendolo is impressive for becoming a civilization inspector at a young age, but that he underestimates Earthlings. He exits the room to find Mitsuko waiting for him. She says she has a business proposal for the Inspectors. Lamia wakes up and receives new secret orders.
Mai Kobayashi runs around in the dark as the voice of Levi Tolar tells her to remember who she is and to return to Judecca. Aya wakes her up, saying she shut off the T-Link system. Mai says she had a dream, but doesn’t recall it. Kenzo says he didn’t think Mai would have problems using the T-Link system but Viletta says it’s not surprising since it hadn’t been long since they found her in the core. She adds that even if she doesn’t remember her time on Neviim, her identity is fragile. Kenzo says that to give the SRX a new power, they need Aya and Mai’s T-Link Twin Contact. Ryusei hangs up the phone, telling Rai he can’t get a hold of Viletta or Aya. Rai wonders if there’s something the others can’t tell them. At the Earth Cradle, Mitsuko tells Vindel about the upcoming operations and that it’s his chance. She adds she’s found a way to negotiate with the Inspectors. Vindel tells Lemon that if they can contact the Inspectors, they’ll be closer to their ideal world and says they’re heading to Japan. Laker briefs everyone about how the Hickam Base on Hawaii has been occupied and that the Shirogane went to liberate it but has encountered the enemy. The Hagane and Hiryu Kai are being sent for back up with Laker in command and Kenneth observing. The alarms go off as the DC attacks and everyone begins launching. Arado asks Kai if the Wildfalken is out there, and Kai assures him that if it is they’ll making capturing it a priority. Arado asks to launch, but Kai says they don’t have a machine for him. Marion appears and says they do. Laker asks Kenneth about the truce with the DC, and Kenneth wonders if they’ve come to help with Mission Harpe. Axel, piloting the Ashsaviour, orders Seolla and the others to keep the enemy occupied until Mission Harpe starts. He tells Seolla not to disappoint him and she says she’ll take out the DC’s enemies for her mother’s sake. Excellen engages Seolla and Seolla is amazed by her skills. Axel contacts Lamia and asks about the Hagane and Hiryu Kai’s fighting strength. Lamia says it’s growing and the result may be the same as before. Axel says he can’t trust her and attacks, telling her to prove that only her language isn’t working right. Kyosuke points out to Kai that the enemy is moving too slow and wonders if they’re waiting for something. Marion contacts the bridge and says she wants to send Arado out in the Wildwurger to recover the Wildfalken. Daitetsu asks if it’s all right and Marion assures him Arado is suited for it. Daitetsu gives permission and Arado prepares to launch. Marion reminds him that the weapons aren’t complete before he launches. Kenneth says it’s time and armed soldiers storm the command center. Sakae says this is treason, but Kenneth says high ranking officials have approved their plan. Brian is also held at gunpoint in his office. Kenneth says it’s the birth of a military rule under Graien.
Plenty of backroom dealing going on here. Graien joins hands with the DC, Nibhal contacts the Inspectors, Vindel also wants to contact the Inspectors, and Mitsuko is in bed with pretty much everyone. That woman doesn’t care who she works with so long as she makes a profit. She’s pretty much the staff of Anaheim Electronics all rolled into one and she’s proud of it. I fail to see what was exactly wrong with the way Brian was running things, so I can only view Graien’s coup as a selfish grab for power. In other developments, Arado finally gets out of the brig and his side switching is complete. We also get to see Mai who is being haunted by her past as one of the final bosses of the last war. On the lighter side of things Kusuha’s health drinks return and claim yet another victim. Put into that position I’d chug it down too. Kusuha is just too adorable to refuse! Now that Graien has control of the Federation, what ever shall our heroes do?
