Five hours before the start of Mission Harpe, Graien explains Operation Plantagenet to Van. Van says he’ll wait to see the results of Harpe, but will prepare anyway. Graien asks Mitsuko how it is on her end, and she says Nibhal has joined them and will let them take over the president’s residence. She adds that Izu is next. In the present, Kenneth explains that the revolution was inevitable because of Brian’s weak ideals. Laker points out there are those working in the shadows and that they’ll have to deal with them. Kenneth strips Laker of his command and Laker relents, saying they can’t stop Plantagenet. Ryoto and Rio take out an R-Eins and are surprised to see the Wildwurger fly past. Arado goes after Seolla but she attacks, saying he’s the one who kidnapped Latooni. Arado realizes she’s been reconditioned and tries to convince her he was in The School too, but she doesn’t believe him. Latooni says Arado is right, but Seolla says she’s been twisted. Seolla flies away and Arado, Latooni and Shine chase after her. Seolla is surprised to find she has data on the Wildwurger, seeing that it is the Wildfalken’s partner. Lamia attacks Axel, but he dodges and uses his sword breakers to destroy the Angelg’s bow. Axel tells her to go complete her mission. Tetsuya wonders why Izu hasn’t sent reinforcements and operator Azuki Sawa says she can’t get in contact with the base. Lamia arrives and points her sword at Hagane’s bridge, demanding they surrender. She threatens to self destruct the Angelg if they don’t comply, but if they do they can become members of Shadow Mirror. A jump reaction appears nearby, and from it appear Vindel in his Zweizergain, Lemon in her Weisssaviour and several R-Eins. Arado catches up with Seolla and Seolla tells Latooni to come back with her. Latooni tells Seolla to come back instead, but the Rapiecage comes out of the water and grabs her Fairlion. Ouka recognizes Arado differently from before, and Latooni realizes she’s been reconditioned again. Seolla prevents Arado from getting closer, and Shine attacks, using her precognition to dodge Ouka’s missiles. Seolla attacks Arado while Shine continues to dodge. In response, Ouka activates the GEIM System, much to the surprise of Shine and Latooni. Shine barely evades the next round of missiles, asking Ouka if she knows what the GEIM System will do to her. Ouka assures Latooni that she’ll save her.
At the presidential residence, a restrained Brian says he didn’t expect Nibhal to join Graien’s side. He adds that he’ll wait and see how Graien will handle things. Vindel praises Lamia for her good work. The others wonder why he called her W17 and Lamia explains that’s her real name. Kyosuke asks what Shadow Mirror is, and Vindel introduces himself as their leader, noting that Kyosuke’s power on this side isn’t as impressive. Excellen asks what they did to Lamia and Lemon tells her she’s been a spy from the start. Lemon is amused that she’d meet Excellen in such a way. Kenneth orders everyone to stop fighting and to obey the Shadow Mirrors. Daitetsu is surprised that Kenneth is in command and Vindel notes that he was successful in taking over. Daitetsu realizes Laker and the others are hostages and he orders all units to stand by. Kyosuke asks Vindel what he’s after, and Vindel says they want to make an ideal world where there is eternal war. Latooni tells Shine to retreat, but Shine says it’s her turn to help. Seolla says Latooni will come back if she takes out Arado, but Arado tells her Latooni is on the Hagane of her own free will. Seolla says they’ve just made her believe that and Arado retorts that she should make her head as soft as her big boobs. Seolla yells at him for making jokes about her breasts again, and Arado realizes her memories aren’t completely gone. Arado charges her and grabs the Wildfalken, saying he won’t let go or else she’ll forget him. Seolla clutches her head in pain and freaks out. Ouka shoots off Shine’s Fairlion’s arm but the GEIM system reaches its limit before she can finish Shine off. Latooni is freed in time to avoid an unknown attack, while a similar attack knocks Arado away. Uruz, Anthuz and Thurisuz Egret arrive in their Bergelmirs, two of them grabbing the Wildfalken and Rapiecage. Thurisuz wants to finish off Arado, but Uruz stops him because their father ordered them to only recover Seolla and Ouka. Thurisuz insists on killing Arado because he can’t stand having his data in him. Anthuz advices Thurisuz to listen to Uruz and they all retreat. Masaki asks how a world of endless war could be ideal and Lemon explains that war leads to destruction followed by new growth. Vindel adds that humanity cannot develop without war and that history has proven that. Daitetsu agrees that conflict allows humanity to advance, but adds that anyone who doesn’t see what is born and lost in battle and only cares for the results has no right to speak of war. Lamia agrees and flies at Vindel, grabbing the Zweizergain and flying into the air. Lamia says they shouldn’t have come to this world, saying there are worlds created by the refusal of war and that some one created for war like her shouldn’t interfere with that. Lemon is surprised Lamia came up with that on her own. Vindel says she’s broken, but Lamia says that she’s learned. She activates Code Ash To Ash and the Angelg self-destructs. The Zweizergain survives, but Vindel notes that System XN was damaged. The Shadow Mirrors retreat and Lemon finds a pod in the ocean. Kyosuke attacks Axel.
Picking up from last time, our heroes find themselves with their hands tied. Not only does Lamia show her true colors, but Laker is taken hostage as well. The Shadow Mirrors finally reveal themselves and Vindel lets his goals be known. He does have a point in that some of humanity’s greatest advancements came about due to wars, and even Daitetsu admits to this, but constant strife would leave no one happy. Lamia sees this so she decides to turn on her creators and self destruct in a futile attempt to take out the demonic looking Zweizergain. I must say that I felt Lamia’s side switching was under developed. Aside from her bit at the end of the Riksent battle, there weren’t many other points where we see her viewpoint begin to change so her decision in this episode comes across as too sudden. On the other end of things, we got more School shenanigans where everyone tries to convince each other they’re being manipulated. Arado manages to get through to Seolla by making fun of her boobs and Shine does quite well holding her own against Ouka. You go, princess! Things turn when Ouka activates the GEIM System, the system that was loaded onto the Valsion Customs and made their pilots go crazy in the last war. It hurts her in the long run and when it looks like it’s over, they’re saved by the arrival of the Bergelmirs. I hope you like Akira Ishida because that makes four characters in this show he’s voicing.
