Painting on the new Iron Gear continues. Chill fishes for lizards for them to eat. Jiron and Rag do a docking test with the Gallier. They talk about how unbeatable the Gallier will be with weapons. Elchi says due to lack of funds they’ll have to use the machine guns built into the Gallier for now. Meanwhile at an Innocent dome, Dowas reports to Biel, saying that the civilian’s power comes from their teamwork and they should aim to cause some internal discord. He thinks Horla should kill either Elchi or Rag. Biel refuses have one of them killed and says to abduct one of them instead. He tells Dowas to follow his orders. Upon leaving, Dowas comments on how two domes have been destroyed due to Biel and he won’t be able to keep this up. Geraba is pleased with the Gavalier ship that he and Kid Horla are now using. Horla thinks they will be able to beat the Iron Gear and will catch them when they approach Mecha Valley. Dowas contacts them, ordering them to capture either Rag or Elchi. Geraba jokes about Horla kidnapping Elchi and marrying her. Horla plans on capturing Rag although Geraba claims Elchi would be easier. He wonders why he is so fixated on the crew of the Iron Gear. The Iron Gear makes its way to a town in Mecha Valley stopping at a dock for the ship to get worked on. Kotsett requests the mechanic, Joseph, get things done in two days even though he thinks it will take a week. The crew head into town. Jiron goes to buy some ammunition. Suddenly a woman named Toron Milan comes in, complaining about the shopkeeper and mentioning an organization named Salt. She is interested in the same bazooka as Jiron. Toron punches Jiron in the stomach and the two agree to fight each other, with the winner getting the bazooka. The fight goes outside and Rag and Chill are surprised to see Jiron getting beat up by a woman. Toron proposes they settle things in their Walker Machines. Toron is quite successful in attacking the Gallier with her Walker Machine Capricorn. Suddenly some missiles from a third party start striking nearby.
Jiron gets mad at Toron over the missiles, but she claims they aren’t from her. Jiron spots a Walker Machine from Horla’s forces nearby, the Galabagos. Horla decides to have his forces retreat so as to not cause commotion in Mecha Valley. Jiron holds the Galabagos pilot, revealed to be Geraba, at gunpoint. Geraba claims he can’t stand Horla anymore and has been fleeing from him. He begs for some food. Jiron agrees to bring him back with him but has Rag get in the Galabagos with him. Geraba thinks of this as his chance to take Rag, but Chill, Dyke and Blume spoil this upon heading in. Elchi is surprised to see Geraba with them when she gets to the Iron Gear. One of Horla’s underlings spies from the cliff above and reports back to the Gavalier. Geraba continues with the lies even as Horla launches an attack on them. Joseph complains to Kotsett about them battling while still undergoing repairs. Rag heads out on a Xabungle. Toron continues to watch. On the Iron Gear, Geraba is given some food. Geraba fakes having a stomach ache then grabs one of Elchi’s knives and knocks out both Blume and her. Jiron attacks several Walker Machines with the Gallier. Jiron soon finds Toron helping him. She claims she has fought against the Innocent. Jiron helps Toron, defeating a Walker Machine coming at her from behind. Toron’s cockpit is soon fired upon by a thought to be defeated Walker Machine. Jiron rushes towards her and she says the bazooka would better fit him, dying. In a rage, Jiron tries chasing after the Gavalier but it has gotten too far away. Meanwhile Geraba is bringing a tied up Elchi back to the Gavalier, telling her she can become an Innocent citizen and his whole scheme was due to this. On the Iron Gear, Jiron beats up Blume for letting Elchi get captured, then yells at Fatman too. Jiron swears he’ll get Elchi back.
Another fairly strong episode. Toron Milan is quite a dynamic and interesting character and it was fun to see her beating up Jiron. Alas, before the episode ends she is killed. Kill ‘Em All Tomino strikes yet again, not even letting her get past a single episode. Meanwhile Dowas schemes to kidnap either Elchi or Rag, and before episode’s end Geraba is able to kidnap Elchi. That Jiron and the others were willing to let Geraba on board their ship seems rather ridiculous given how long he’s fought against them. This results in things getting even worse for Jiron, as not only has Toron died, but Elchi is gone as well. With the Gallier now in use, the title sequence and eyecatch have been changed up to feature it. The episode’s animation is also quite strong, being the first episode to feature character designer Tomonori Kogawa working on the animation since the opening episode.
