Advanced Valkyrie is an original design series created in 1985 by Shoji Kawamori. Published in Monthly Bandai Making Journal, it was not connected to the Macross franchise despite having “Valkyrie” in its name. The series’ concept revolved around test pilots evaluating variable aircraft for an organization called NOVA. Bandai’s planned model series was never produced, and Kawamori later reused the concept for Project Super Nova in the 1994 OVA series Macross Plus. In 2001, Kawamori adapted two Advanced Valkyrie designs into the Macross universe for the the Sega Dreamcast game Macross M3.

Some Fan Art I made back in 2018 of my favorite Mobile Suit from Gundam. Still love the one-eyed design, stands out and still looks great. I've also included some process. #gundam #zaku #mobilesuit
