Developed as part of the Crossbone Vanguard’s Steel 7, the Angel Diona was intended to serve the role of combat support and supply. Though there were no basic changes to the external elements of the original Diona, the use of leftover parts from the EMS-12 Arana resulted in an overall lighter machine. Since the original Diona was designed mainly for demonstration and propaganda, it lacked even a beam shield. For the final battle at the Jovian colony laser, the Angel Diona was equipped with a large booster and a weapons container that allowed it to quickly resupply the other members of its combat team.
